My Story

This memorial is a tribute to our sweet little daughter Katerina....
You mesmerized me when you first entered the world when I was first to lay eyes on you. You were more beautiful than anyone could imagine.

You were independant and eager to do it "your way" from day one, you even lifted and moved your head around the hospital room your very first day in this world. Your DaDa (Dad) took a step back from the real world to be your fulltime stay at home caretaker.

Fatherhood was a privledge and an absolute honor for me. Everyday was a challenge for me to nourish you, exceed your expectations and give your little mind the space and room to roam and learn. I never got in the way of you, I just kept a watchful eye on you so you wouldn't hurt yourself.

We went to dinner together, shopped together, showered together and just went everywhere possible. I was the captain and you were my co-pilot baby. I took you for your first haircut, your first shot at the Pediatricians and the first one to push you on a swing.

Science will never give me a reason while you left this world...Our Holiday party on December 11th was your final performance. Everyone watched as you played and danced just as Princeses do at the Ball. You were in rare form that evening, running, laughing, singing and what not. You were so tired you laid on the couch where you and I took 15 minutes from the world and snuggled and shared a lifetime of tender moments right then and there.

I will cherish that night my love....forever, you showed me what being a DaDa was all about. We were a Duo that could sing and sing we did. I'm not looking for a new partner to sing with, you and I will sing together till I catch up with you when you give me a pair of wings so I can fly up and catch you in Heaven little one.

My tears will flow for an eternity, your little light will always shine so bright....You showed me to always look forward and never back, to be brave and know no fear. You knew no srangers and had no fears, you were as Angelic as one can get. Perhaps that is why you left this earth without a wound on your body, a bad cold, or a shed tear of grief. All you ever will know is love and love is what I gave you.

"Sail on honey, good times never felt so good."

See ya soon,

DaDa

PS: Keep your sockies on will ya :)
